Who should be responsible?
Every year brings new legislation, new town hall meetings, and new arguments as to who is responsible for protecting the children. In a day and age when so many parents rely on outside sources to raise or supplement the lessons of life it is easy to just pass the buck. However we as parents need to recognize that nobody will have more interest in the proper up bringing of our children the we do. It is to that end that we must strive daily to make sure our children are not being exposed to improper material. The best way to do this is to educate ourselves as parents on the available tools to help.
Parental controls are by far the most logical choice. No matter how much you love your child you can not be with him/her every minute of every day. The internet can be a dangerous place. Most internet providers will offer these tools for free much like your TV controls. There are also third party options that will provide what you need. some examples are
